The American electric automobile manufacturing company, Tesla Motors, has decided to seek help from the Japanese battery producers for the construction of a gigantic factory in Japan. Tesla news reported that the management of the car-makers is busy in convincing Japan-based electronic firms and battery providers to play their role in the establishment of its first gigantic production facility outside the borders of the United States of America.
Apart from the Japanese organization, Panasonic, the others have refused to collaborate with the American giant. As the second largest supplier of parts for Tesla’s Model S luxury Sedan, Japan is an ideal location for the future gigantic site. The American company’s experiences in the abroad territory have not been favorable, as a Japanese supplier had rejected a request of the vehicle producer in the past. Market analysts critically acclaimed and appreciated the endeavors of the business towards future prospects of establishing facility abroad.
Tesla Motors plans to grow rapidly. It is expected that it would soon introduce its newly pioneered Model X crossover sports utility vehicle in the automobile market. This new vehicle will probably increase the demand for lithium-ion batteries. Tesla news today affirms that it intends to manufacture those ion batteries in the massive plant which it decides to establish in the Japanese territory. This new production would not only increase the production of ion batteries but also reduce the cost of those batteries. The reduction in the cost will probably increase the demand for the newly designed vehicle.
The new industrial unit is expected to manufacture stationery batteries as well. These batteries would be able to store electricity for local use. In this manner, these batteries would also play their role in generating power for domestic uses. The establishment and running of the gigantic production facility in Japan would not only satisfy the demand for batteries but also cut down transportation costs for the American corporation, since it would be able to satisfy the Asian market as well.
Latest Tesla news highlighted the fact that the automobile manufacturer cannot build a production facility independently in the foreign territory. In the current situation, financial concerns and the deteriorating value of Yen against the dollar will toughen the scenario for the company. Now it is yet to be seen that to what extent the collaboration between the American producers and the Japanese electronics businesses is successful in establishing and running a battery producing factory in the third largest economy of the world.
