Qualcomm Is shocked By Samsung

The American digital chip-manufacturer, Qualcomm, has suffered from a huge shock as the South Korean phone manufacturer, Samsung, has refused to employ its processor chip in the newly pioneered Galaxy S6 smart phone. Qualcomm news reported that the Korean company has decided to employ its own silicon chips in the latest designed phone. It is not the first time that this corporate giant has decided to favor its own chips as it is currently utilizing its advance phone chips in some versions of the Galaxy S6 phone.
The chip producer dominates the field of phone chips, as it is the market leader of 4G Long Term Evolution technology. However, the cellphone company is expected to replace the American chips with Samsung Exynos Application processor and Samsung Shanon 333. These processors would benefit the phone users. Some of its previous models had been powered by the Snapdragon processor, which included an application processor and cellular modem.
Qualcomm breaking news affirms that the relations between the businesses have been quite controversial, as a research firm confirmed the use of a cellular modem in one of the versions of Samsung Galaxy S6. This finding shocked the digital world, which believes that Qualcomm is the major supplier of modems to the phone makers.
The decision of the Korean company has adversely affected the financial position of the American company as it has decreased its revenue and earnings estimates for its full financial year. The decline of these financial figures is sufficient to highlight the importance of supplying processors to Samsung. The semiconductor producer would still supply modems to a number of Galaxy S6 phones worldwide. The corporation is expected to compensate the losses through its deliveries of digital modems to the phones.
Qualcomm news today stated that the mobile business of the Korean organization had been adversely affected by the progress of Apple and Chinese Android phone makers. The chip utilization decision would improve the profitability of the manufacturer, as its sourcing costs would decline. The Korean company’s decision has discouraged the investors of the other company, as the price of its shares has decreased by 21%. The price of its stock has decreased down by 8% this year. Financial experts have also downgraded the shares of the firm.
Various market analysts and experts have provided mixed opinions on this news. Now it is yet to be seen that to what extent does the American producer is able to play its role in ensuring that it is able to recapture the semiconductor market.

Intel Launches Compute Stick

 intel Compute Stick

The American high-tech chip manufacturer, Intel Corporation, has decided to launch its newly pioneered ‘compute stick’ in the market. Intel news reported that the firm is about to introduce an Intel Compute Stick, which has been designed to add to the capacity of digital devices. It is expected that this product would turn every High Definition (HD) multimedia interface port-featuring device into a fully functional windows computer. In this manner, the users of television would be able to benefit from the functions of computer. It would be sold to customers at a price of $150.

Intel news today further affirms the features of the innovation. It is a small computer, which has an HDMI connector on its end. Other features of the product include a Random Access Memory of 2 gigabytes, storage capacity of 32 gigabytes, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Universal serial bus 3.0, and a Micro Universal Serial Bus port. The two USBs would play their role in plugging a number of hardware devices, including mouse and keyboard to the stick. The users of this device would be required to connect this device to the HDMI port of their television or monitor. The successful connection of the devices would equip the device with computer-like features and functions.

The chip manufacturer is not the first company who has introduced this invention, as a number of such devices with ARM processors and Android systems are already available in the market. Google has also played its role in transforming television into computers as it launched a Chrome bit computer. This computer has been designed to turn one’s screen into a Chrome OS computer for $100. A number of Chinese device manufacturers have also launched some compute sticks in the market, which employ Intel Atom processors and Windows 8.1 software.

The employment of Intel’s processors is sufficient to explain that corporate giant has the potential to develop advance products. It is anticipated that the cost of the designed stick would be much higher than the costs of other sticks. Latest Intel news stated that a quad core Bay Trail Atom processor would charge this gadget. The endeavors mark the future prospects of the company, which are critically acclaimed and appreciated by the market analysts and experts.

The presence of the Chinese businesses and other competitors in the market suggests the entrance of this product in a very competitive market. Now it is yet to be seen that to what extent does the pioneered item is able to facilitate its users and threaten its competitors in the tech world.

Samsung Claims Not Paying People To Attend Galaxy S6 Event In China

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge release dates are making the rounds already. The phones had been launched in Mobile World Congress earlier this year. It is said that these phones are likely to be the flagships of what Samsung has produced up till now. It is also looking forward to a healthy and head-to-head competition with HTC One M9.
Recently, there had been rumors regarding Samsung paying the people to pretend being fans. Latest Samsung news reports that the tech giant has completely denied the report which points at it paying the people in order for them to pretend to be fans at the event for the launch of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge phones in Shanghai.
A news company in Shanghai has declared that almost 1,000 of the attendees were the ones that had been traced by the recruiter. They were also paid 30 Yuan which is us $4.80 per hour of the total time they attended the conference for. The Shanghai based news informs that Beijing resided office of the tech giant vetted the first 20 paid personnel but that number had been significantly raised to approximately 500 fans. Samsung news today reports this claim “totally groundless and bogus” in its blog this morning.
The company expressed that there has not been the case that people were paid or recruited just for the sake of the conference and pretending to be fake fans. Furthermore, it said that there had been more than 1,100 attendees. This number included the officials from industry and the end users. These personnel had been formally invited by the company to Shanghai Culture Square, the place where the launch event had taken place. Also, Samsung said that they are still trying to find the roots from where such bogus news was brought up and also that The Paper verified the findings of the company and withdrew the erroneous story.
If we come to think of it, this is not the first time that the company had faced allegations and paid-for arguments. In 2013, the tech giant had been fined for paying the students and making them post critically offensive comments and views regarding smartphones by HTC. The company later had accused the external agency for this conduct. The agency of another agency had taken the responsibility of another gesture where developers had offered money in order to promote the company on Stack Overflow, a community belonging to developers.
However, in this recent case of accusation, Samsung has strongly replied with a denial. Regardless of the denial, such incidents are the highlights to what the big companies can do in order for their products to be the hit.

The Internet of Things is a phenomenon where sensors are placed on almost everything, from smartphones to engines or refrigerators for that matter. However, IBM has tighten the belts to start working in this sector due to the main reason that they are not the only one that are growing partnerships. GE has introduced its platform for Internet of Things as well. It is aimed at Predix which is an industrial internet. They both are competing with each other to get the best and most powerful developers on board for this.
The package that IBM has introduced and is thinking about is analytics, it is specific to Bluemix which is the company’s offering when it comes to Platform as a Service, also called an advancement to the “Internet of Things ecosystem”. The other aspect is partnership with AT&T, The Weather Company and ARM. According to the rumours, these are just the beginning of big things ahead that the company has to offer.
The key piece of approach being followed by IBM is a platform to be built that is spread across various categories, it is willing to attract developers towards this ambition as well. We aren’t sure if it will win hearts of developers for the company and to drive the evolution of it.

Insurance joint venture by Alibaba and Tencent Holdings to raise funds

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd and its competitors Tencent Holdings and Ping have partnered to gather funds for their joint venture online insurance according to Alibaba news.  Most of the analysts are bullish about the joint venture and said that fund raising could make an amount over $8 billion estimated target at first.
News of this plan were revolving for more than a year after the companies declared that they are joining hands to launch Zhong An online insurance company. The plan to raise funds mainly targets equity companies, and they also have plans for an IPO for the company in the year 2018.
It’s almost the end of first quarter of 2015 and we have already seen some major tech firms are looking for fund raising. Irrefutably, the prevalent news was Tencent and Alibaba seeking to get at least $1 billion in the initial stages of fundraising.
Tencent holdings and Alibaba Group have a joint market value of over $400 billion. However Peng is the 2nd biggest insurance company. Sources told,  Zhong An has completed its deal with investors of Hong Kong and the initial round of raising $1 billion will provide 12.5% ownership in the firm.
Zhong An was established in 2013 with $162 million of finances in registered capital. The business model of the company includes cargo insurance, property insurance, guarantee insurance, and credit for the online e-commerce.
Remarkably, after 16 months the company was able to exceed its breakeven and becomes profitable. In spite of prominent credentials, analysts are anxious why the company delayed the fundraising part. Furthermore, $1 billion is a huge amount be keeping in mind that it is the initial step of the joint venture into the market.
Though, putting all the mix-up away, Zhong An has certainly come up with a tactical fundraising move . Bearing in mind the joint venture appears to be in initial stages, it has already managed to get finances of over $8 billion. Ping An –one more party of the joint venture single handedly valued at $100 billion beating competitor New China Life which is valued at $17 billion.
The venture will have a 20% ownership of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd and 15% by each Ping An and Tencent. Beside these big companies, Zhong An contained 6 more fundraisers out of which the most noticeable was Ctrip –an online travel agency.
Zhong An strategy of fundraising is similar to that of Qunar’s -a travel agent that too joined hands with Baidu Inc. and commands remarkable valuations in spite of generating continues losses.
Alibaba stock increased by 0.49% and reached $84.58 on Friday..

iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus rumors - Things you would want to know!

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been launched and it has been months. There have been many people who are using it and some of us are desperately waiting for the next announcements on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The rumors regarding the release of S-series have begun to circulate already. It might be the case that iPhone 6S gets off-the-hook feedback from the people around.
Just in case you are wondering when the new models will be launched, then a regular schedule of launching the new models in September is followed every year. The major updates are released periodically; model number is incremented, the gaps being filled by slight updates carrying an attached ‘S’. In September 2012, iPhone 5S was released and one year later in September 2013, we all got the brand new iPhone 5S and 5C. As of September 2014, most awaited iPhone 6 and 6S were launched, potentially marking September 2015 as the release of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
Latest Apple news is that we are hoping to get our hands on iPhone 6S and 6S plus hopefully this September. If we go by the pattern mentioned above, also assuming that the tech giant keeps a convention of having small and large version, the latter being designated as ‘Plus’, then we shall be introduced to iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. However, there are rumors that the convention might be dropped because the ‘S’ updates are not coming as a major update to the people. The ‘S’ might be avoided if the company’s aim is to convince the users that they really need to upgrade their handsets. There might be a case that we see iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus instead of S series. We cannot be sure and will emphasize that these are merely rumors till Apple comes up with any announcement regarding the next launch.
As per the Apple news, 6S most likely will be similar to current models as far as the outward look is concerned, the upgrades will be interior. But we shouldn’t forget that Apple has surprised us many times in the past when it comes to design. They might be thinking to break the convention this time. Steel Drake, a designer, recently published the concept images of his idea as to how 6S and 6S Plus might look. It is pretty much different and you might wish to check it out.

Lastly, we are not sure about the things related to new models being launched, nonetheless, we do know that it will be something big and Apple might wish to change the aura of how we look at iPhones.
