The social media giant has been advised by the analysts to think about acquiring Reddit, as this might just be the solution to all its problems
Twitter Inc has been going through a tough patch for quite some time and even though after much instability and delayed decisions, the company now has a proper CEO to carry out all the important tasks and to head the company in the way that the giant is a dire need in. However, the stock of the media company has been going through some serious dips on the index lately and that is mainly powered by the lows it faced when announcing its lower than expected earnings to the investors after which it also presented an unsatisfactory guidance for the coming quarter which was deemed as not enough to make the investors happy.
More importantly, Twitter stock has witnessed a fall by around 18% as compared to the value it stood at in the year and the main concern of the investors and analysts in the present time is how Jack Dorsey the newly appointed CEO is going to turn things around; or if he is even going to manage bringing a much needed change in the way things were done within the management. The social media company has a couple of new projects to look forward to which can put an effect to the stock in some way or the other. One of those programs is the launch of Square in the stock market, as according to reports, the subsidiary is being prepared for initial public offering to be held soon.
Analysts who have been following the stock activities of Twitter business through all the ups and downs have a suggestion for the company: for the social media giant to take over Reddit, which is believed to make the company’s stock surge without all the hassles it is currently facing to make itself strong. Even though the giant already has acquired company like Vine and Periscope, analysts think that the existence of huge rivals in the face of Instagram and Snapchat in the market is not doing any good them any good which means that there should be something else that serves as a helping hand for the company to come out of the turmoil in the best way possible.
Since Reddit is the highly used site and conforms a 9th position in the list of the most used websites all over the world, analysts have come to the conclusion that just by taking over the company, Twitter can take advantage of the kind of success the giant has been witnessing for some time and this might just be what the media company might need to stand up on its feet again.
