Twitter Launched A New Ad Button On Its Mobile App

Twitter is beefing up its monetization features

Twitter Inc. is the most preferred social media network platform currently. Regardless of the fact that it trails to Facebook by miles in almost every aspect, the company officials are working hard to make competition fierce in the market. Facebook has no fears and it is leading the market quite comfortably. In recent times, the trend of advertising and advertisements was significantly growing with social media forums. On one hand, Facebook is now leading the digital ad marketing whereas on the other hand Twitter miserably failed to gain traction in the same market.
Ever since then, Twitter is focused to change its features in order to attract more big name advertisers, according to latest Twitter reports. As it is known, Facebook generates major chunk of its revenues from advertising. And Twitter does not and cannot even come close to match those numbers. Hence, in order to create a stronger newer revenue stream, it is dedicated to bolster its advertisement sector. Twitter is reportedly ‘giving more teeth to monetization features’ on its platform. According to Tech Crunch, the company has launched a new Ad button for its mobile app available on Android and iOS.
This new ad button will bolster its monetization features on the mobile platform. This new ‘Twitter Ads’ button is now appearing prominently on most of the users on the social media network after the launch. The newly added button on users’ profiles is placed right beside the ‘Edit Profile’ button, the account switch button, and the settings button. Previously, some users have mistaken this new button as a shortcut to the analytics of social media.
When a user clicks on the newly added button on its profile, they are allowed to manage the ad campaigns on Twitter. As Tech Crunch reports, “Not everyone is happy with the change, which some Twitter users are calling “desperate,” or “ugly.” And it’s hard to find fault with those sentiments. If you’re not currently running a Twitter ad campaign, the feature does nothing more than let you know that this button serves as a place where you can manage an ad campaign in the future – it doesn’t go so far as to allow users to actually get started building their first campaign from the app itself.”
Twitter is working very hard to keep up the pace with the market leader which was made clear via its recent Twitter news. Hence every now and then, it is adding new monetization features in order to beef up its ads sector. Facebook leads the market of advertising with Google, Twitter and Yahoo behind it.
