IBM And Seagate Presents High Performance Computing storage solutions

International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation shares its software with Seagate for the development of High Performance Computing storage solutions.

International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation is about to serve a high-tech organization. Seagate Technology plc has proclaimed that it is combining IBM Spectrum Scale software with its ClusterStor High Performance Computing (HPC) storage, as reported by IBM news.
The corporation’s modern digital device would be utilized to develop a storage appliance that would ease the difficulties of users, as it would manage demands of data-intensive workload, such as digital media, electronic design simulations, financial model analysis, data analytics, computer aided design (CAD), and genomic research.
IBM news today disclosed that the general manager and vice president of Seagate HPC systems business, Ken Claffey, has stated the system would integrate the abilities of the corporation’s software with the scalability and effectiveness of the data storage company’s unique performance, effectiveness, and scalability. He added that the integration would let clients manage demanding and data hungry computing applications more effectively than before.
IBM breaking news informed that Seagate’s ClusterStor is known for letting various industrial users benefit from reliability, scalability, performance, and power. The data storage organization has sold over 17,000 petabytes and 2,000,000 enclosures for original equipment producers. IBM Spectrum Scale has been designed to help users manage data load globally.
Vice president of IBM software defined infrastructure, Bernie Spang, has stated that enterprises in all sectors are interested in finding out faster and more affordable ways to access, store, and manage data for insight generating analytics and critical business processes. He added that the IBM Spectrum storage system has assisted to create blocks for collaborators to deliver advance solutions and help users to meet their diverse needs.
IBM’s data management software was launched in the initial part of this year as a repackaging of the software system that helps the corporation drive its own high-end XIV storage systems. IBM’s information managing system can be operated through Windows Systems, AIX, and Linux. The corporation has recently disclosed that its software can also be utilized for Linux on corporation’s z System mainframe platform.
Experts believe that the collaboration would not only help increase the market shares of the two organizations, but also send an implicit threatening message to their rivals, who might formulate plans to act against it. It is probable that the partnership would revolutionize the digital world.
IBM should develop strategies now to ensure that its system is utilized to speed up the process by which data is being managed in businesses. The dire need of such systems presents favorable prospects for the company.
