Microsoft To Launch Update For Skype In Summer 2015


The software company is planning to expand the translator feature to all the users of the software by updating it along with the launch of Windows 10

In the most recent Microsoft news update, it has been made evident that Microsoft Corporation has finally decided to launch an update for Skype that will bring about quite a useful change in the usage of the software. The software company has been working on the project for quite some time to bring about updates and the one update that it has been focusing on involves launching a special translator for video calls, a feature that has already been launched by the firm for a few selected customers. However, this new feature in Skype is not going to be limited for a few customers only and soon the tech company will be releasing a version of the software that will be for all kinds of users. This update is expected to take place in the upcoming summer of 2015, as announced by the tech giants.
Currently, it has been seen that the Skype Translator feature is made available to a few selected customers only, which have been specially invited by the software giant. The much awaited feature of the software works in an interesting way, as it translates video call conversations in quite a quick speed. The feature is presently compatible with a few languages only, which include English, Spanish, Mandarin and Italian for translation of speech in the video calls.
However, the users can translate their instant messages as well, and those can be converted into more than a 50 languages, as supported by the software, according to latest Microsoft news. Since the version that was presented to a few customers is being updated to software that will be in reach of everyone, more languages are also expected to be added to the list which has a limited number of languages only in which the conversations will be converted.
Microsoft business discussed in a press release that the usage of Skype Translator over the period of a few weeks only has increased by a massive difference which the firm believes to be coming around at an increase of 300 percent. Previously, the option to use the translator first had to be signed up for but since the past four weeks that the company has removed the option to sign up before use, the consumption of the new feature has shown an incredible rise in usage.
The much awaited Windows 10 that Microsoft is planning to launch in the summer season is going to come around in the same time as the Translator which is making the analysts believe that the new Windows will come with a complete package updated with the new features on Skype.
