The service has been modified with additional features, accessible through the Dropbox icon and more
Dropbox news recently had announced an extension to Chrome, which integrated Gmail with online storage service. Recently the company has announced interesting new features, including the ability to send much larger files to anyone, even if they don’t utilize Dropbox.
It is nothing new, to notice that Dropbox supports data synchronization throughout the the devices irrespective of its type. Data synchronization is significant feature to consider in terms of online storage across all items. Which is why it is essential that the storage service are not only accessible through PC desktops and laptops only, but also via smartphones and tablets.
All in all, any devices portable or not, which works on iOS or Android will be able to fully access data from cloud storage and Dropbox will be completely accessible to it.
Previously the extension allowed users to pull in files from the online storage, right into your Gmail account. But now the service has been modified with additional features, accessible through the Dropbox icon. Users will just have to select their files, or documents, and click insert link. Since users are just sending a link to access those files, it will not take up space from their Gmail storage.
The beta version of this Chrome extension has been rolled out today, and now it is no longer a hassle to send large files.l Dropbox for Gmai will easily allow users to add any document, and send them without having to waste time in uploading, or dealing with doc size issues.
Not only this but also according to latest Dropbox updates, the company has recently decided to take their security settings and privacy protocols to another level in order to make it more practical and ethically workable for corporate and business.
Other than this, users are now allowed to insert multiple files and folders, and also add files to their Dropbox within no time. The need to collect them all together before sending to another user has now been eliminated, as Dropbox enables users to attach any every file separately. In case any of your recipients is not using Dropbox or its extension, it is not something for you to worry about, the files will still be accessible to them.
Saving files have also become much easier, now all users have to do is to simply click save on any file that has been sent to you, and it will get stored, without the need to download, and then upload them onto your Dropbox account.
