Facebook Introduces Moments

The American social network has introduced a new photo related feature.

Facebook has introduced a new photo related feature, called Moments. Facebook news informed that the product manager, Will Rubin, has stated that the released update is capable of arranging photos in one’s phone into groups. It is revealed that the application uses photographing occasions to arrange the stored pictures. It not only identifies friends in photos but also confidentially sends those photos to them.
Facebook news today reported that when the latest picture-related application is downloaded and operated, then it clearly mentions two catalogs for its users. One of them is known as private, while the other is called Sync. When a user begins using the new feature, he or she is asked for permissions whether to disseminate the stored pictures with the person, which the platform operator has studied and recognized in pictures.
The feature permits users to freely make decisions regarding their privacy issues, as they can toggle some pictures and keep others away from reach. An official has stated that tagging someone in a picture would not activate the feature. It follows its own notifying procedure; for instance, if a user, who has installed the application, takes some shots, then he or she would receive a notification regarding the sharing ability and the presence of friends in the photos.
Facebook breaking news informed that sometimes, the feature also asks its users if they want to share photos with one person or a group. If it fails to find a name or set of names, then the users are asked if they want to enter the name of any one or more of their friends in the provided space. This technology would improve the relationship between friends, as they would be able to share memorable events.
The update would enable people to share a significant number of photos and develop a set of photo albums including users and tagged friends. Market experts believe that the new technology would not only speed up the process of photo related communication but also improve the corporate giant’s reputation in the highly competitive world.
Facebook should now take measures to launch the new user-friendly update in the best possible manner to meet its claims for ‘connecting the world’. The social network giant is known for its dominance in the online world. Its recent application presents it with challenges regarding the privacy and security concerns of its users. Thus, the company is required to address it in the most adequate manner.
