Twitter has received another addition to its platform from Apple for users.
Twitter Inc. made headlines of helping the CPS to fight against online harassment and offensive content, which indicates that it wants to help its customers in every possible way. The micro blogging company received an addition to its customer service platform by a major electronics manufacturer, Apple.
The social media network users with iPhones or other Apple devices who need to ask question can visit Twitter, as the electronics company is now going to help its customers through the social platform. Users can visit @AppleSupport and get help, according to the announcement made on Thursday.
Apple customer service account has already been verified and has more than 35,000 followers. The account has 300 tweets up till now about various topics including its own browser, Safari and its iPhone help and support to customers. The first tweet made by Apple was “Welcome to…”
The co-founder and the current chief executive of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, have plugged this account as well. He tweeted welcoming the company to the social platform saying, ‘A HUGE welcome to @AppleSupport! Now using Twitter to provide customer support through tweets and DMs!’
The account on Twitter Inc. is going to not just provide support to customers around the world but also give trick and tips regarding its devices. It took less than three hours for the account to gather a huge amount user base to follow it, which represents the popularity of its products. The first tip it tweeted was about how to use the photo guide for Notes app and how to use standard lists and turn them into checklist instead.
Apple is not a stranger to the micro blogging site; it had an account on the platform previously too, which is known as ‘Apple Music Help’ and even the ‘App Store’, which has been on the platform since 2009. This support account on the platform is open up for queries that customers have had for a long time. It is also a way for the company to make its presence even stronger everywhere in the world.
This is not an indication that Apple wants to take over Twitter, but some might wish it to be true. The social media platform is used almost everywhere in the world and Apple is seeking to make its presence stronger by ensuring its customers are given the right amount of support. Thus, the company took the decision to open up a help center on the platform for its users.
