The software giant has finally released the beta version of Cortana, the digital assistant for users
Microsoft Corporation has finally come around to release the beta version of Cortana, which is an automated voice bot, launched in competition with Apple’s Siri and Google’s new feature called the Google Now, which helps the users to have a conversation with their device which also acts as a guide for them at various times.
The feature has been made to be available for the users as a digital personal assistant that they can carry everywhere they go, according to Microsoft news. The beta app of the feature has already been leaked in the market but this time, the software giant has released the real deal which is now being offered to the general public. The first time this app was actually launched by the software business was on the Windows Phone. Following that, it was then offered in the Windows 10 as of the most awaited features on it.
Unlike Apple’s Siri, Microsoft has not restricted the use of Cortana to smart phones only. The assisting feature will be available on the new version of the Windows and the users will be able to use the digital assistance throughout their usage of the most updated operating system so far. The Cortana has been deemed as a very useful companion for the user which will also serve as a guide for users who are new to the Windows 10. As per the recent news, Microsoft software is being built in such a manner that it becomes compatible with almost all the gadgets that are being used by the users and not just the personal computers and laptops. This will include not only phones but also tablets along with gaming devices made by the tech company.
The new technology being released by the firm is not expected to have a lot of variations from the PC version to the one that will be offered on the smaller gadgets, as reported by latest Microsoft news. The Cortana that is available on the Android is believed to not be very different from the one that has now been launched by the firm. Android users are allowed to use Cortana to not only browse through the internet but also set reminders for future. Furthermore, the app also allows the users to speak to it exactly how iPhone users can talk to Siri and hold a proper conversation with it.
The leak of Cortana on Android is not equipped with all the features that the software giant has managed to build up, and will not be offering all the services of the app to the users.
