Google has decided to eliminate Flash advertisements and switch to HTML

Google Inc. the search engine giant has announced about a new beta version of the 43 updates that will happen on its web based browser, Google Chrome which tends to act differently when flash is enabled on the page. Most of the pages currently have side and banner ads that have the ability to play on their own which disturbs the user while browsing.
The latest update on Chrome’s browser will be able to pick out the flash animation that are not housed on the page and plays them automatically, according to latest Google updates. This update will help in pausing the animations based on flash with the ability to resume the video playback in case the update leads to the pausing of any video the user actually wanted to view.
This update however is only available with the beta version that is under the advanced setting option. The label of the feature is “detect and run important plug-in content”. This will allow users to govern all plug-ins having the ability to detect and run those which are important. So now users have the option to select what plug in they wish to play. According to the company, this update will make its way to masses by September despite the options have already been added to the current Chrome update.
Since advertisements play a very important role in the overall revenue stream of the company. Google has made several attempts that will assist them in shifting their focus from Flash to HTML based advertisements. The reason behind this switch is to gather web analytics and data related to the impressions making it more useful for them. In order to make this effective, the company has also launched several converters that transform flash animation to the HTML. This apparently is great news for laptop and smartphone users since auto play and irritating pop ups advertisements were the prime reason behind battery storage.
According to recent stats from w3school, the company’s Google Chrome browser contains almost 64 percent of the market share considering it is the most utilized internet advertisement platform, as reported about Google news. The company has been successful in sabotaging Mozilla Firefox that has affected the internet advertisement platform. This recent update will actually transform the fate of web based advertisement pushing on the advertisers to come up with HTML advertisements than Flash.
Hence, Google Chrome is on the right track and will now make life easier of its consumers by overcoming the annoying flash advertisements. HTML is the next futuristic thing and GOOG has made the right decision.
